Privacy Policy
NoiseClear is an online tool that removes background noise from audio and video files. This page explains what happens to the files you upload, what we record, and what you can ask us to do about it. It describes how the service works today.
What your account holds
An account is an email address and a password, and the password is stored as a hash rather than as plain text. That is what the free monthly quota and any paid run are attached to. Creating one does not require your name, your phone number, your postal address or your date of birth, and we do not use the account to build a marketing list. If you pay, the receipt or reference your payment provider issues is what we keep for the transaction. Your browser also stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in between visits, and signing out clears it.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, your phone number, your postal address, or your date of birth. We do not run a marketing list and we do not build a profile of your interests. If you never sign in, never email us and never pay, the only information we hold about you is the abuse-prevention record described below; signing in adds the email address and password hash on the account.
Uploading a file and where it is processed
When you upload a file, it is sent to cloud storage and then to a cloud media processing service that runs the noise reduction. The servers that process your file are located in mainland China. If you are in the United States, in Europe, or anywhere else outside China, this means your file leaves your country and is processed in another one. Many privacy laws call this a cross-border transfer, and we are stating it plainly instead of leaving it out. Data protection rules in China differ from the rules where you live, and the level of protection may not be the same. By uploading a file, you agree to this transfer and to the processing that follows.
How long we keep your files
Uploaded files and the download links we create for them are deleted automatically 60 minutes after upload. Please download your result inside that window. Once those files are gone we cannot restore them, so keep your own copy of the original.
Your account also keeps a short processing history: the file name, the type of file, how long it was, how many minutes it used, and when it ran. That is what the History page shows. The record does not include the audio or video itself, those are deleted 60 minutes after upload, and it stays until you ask us to remove it.
What we record to prevent abuse
Running a free tool on the open internet means dealing with automated traffic and people who push far past reasonable use, so we keep a small set of technical details for each request. We log the IP address the request came from, the time of the request, and information about the processing task, including how many minutes of audio or video were processed. A typical entry is an IP address, a timestamp, and a duration. We use these records to apply the free monthly limit and to block abusive or automated use. We do not use them for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not hand them to advertising or tracking networks.
How long we keep those records
Abuse-prevention records are kept for a limited period and then deleted. We do not keep them indefinitely, and we do not keep them for any purpose beyond rate limiting and blocking abuse. Uploaded files run on a much shorter clock: they are removed 60 minutes after upload.
Payments
Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. We never see or store your card number, your full card details, or your bank credentials. The provider collects that information directly and handles it under its own privacy policy. What comes back to us is a confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus enough detail to match the payment to the task it paid for, such as an order reference and the amount.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets only the technical cookies it needs to function. They keep your upload session running and help apply the free monthly limit. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not place cross-site tracking pixels. Our Cookie Policy lists these cookies and their lifetimes. Visit counts come from an analytics tool running on a server we control. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across other sites.
Information you send us by email
If you email support@noiseclear.org, we receive your email address, whatever you write, and any files you attach. We keep that correspondence so we can answer you and refer back to it if you write again. We do not add your address to a marketing list.
Who we share data with
We share data with the service providers that make the tool work: the cloud storage that holds your upload, the media processing service that runs the noise reduction, and the payment provider that takes your payment. Each provider receives only what its part of the job requires. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Security
Files travel over an encrypted connection, and access to the storage and processing systems is limited to what those systems need to operate. No online service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. Because files are deleted 60 minutes after upload, the window during which a file exists on our systems is short.
Your requests
You can email support@noiseclear.org to ask what records we hold that relate to you, or to ask us to delete them. Tell us as much as you can about the task and the time it ran so we can find the right entries, and include any order reference if you paid. We will look into the request and reply.
Children
NoiseClear is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the service, email us and we will delete the related records.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date below. Using the service after an update means you accept the updated policy.
