NoiseClear clean signal

Terms of Service

These terms are a deal between you and NoiseClear. By using the site or the noise removal tool, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you use the service on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for them.

The service

NoiseClear removes background noise from audio and video files that you upload. We operate from mainland China, and the servers that process your files are in mainland China. If you are outside China, your file is transferred to and processed in China when you upload it. Please read the Privacy Policy for details on that transfer, on what we log, and on the 60-minute deletion window for uploaded files and download links.

Acceptable use

You may use NoiseClear only for lawful purposes. You must not upload, process, or share anything that:

  • breaks the law where you live or where we operate;
  • is a recording of another person's private conversation or private activity, made without their consent;
  • is child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors;
  • you do not have the legal right to upload, including material owned by someone else;
  • is malware, or is designed to attack, overload, or interfere with the service;
  • is meant to harass, threaten, defame, or harm another person.

You must not try to get around the free monthly limit, the file size limits, or the length limits, whether by scripting uploads, rotating addresses, or any other method. You must not resell the service or present it as your own without our written permission.

Your content and your rights

You keep any rights you hold in the files you upload. You confirm that you own those files or that you have all the permissions you need to upload and process them, including any permission required from people whose voices appear in the recording. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit your file only for the purpose of running the noise reduction you asked for and delivering the result to you. That permission lasts only as long as the file exists on our systems, which is 60 minutes after upload.

Free monthly quota and rate limits

The free tier runs on a free account. Each account gets up to ten free minutes a month, and a single file can run up to 10 minutes. We count that against the account, with the abuse-prevention records described in the Privacy Policy. We may adjust these limits to keep the service usable for everyone, and we may refuse or block traffic that looks automated or abusive. Free results carry no watermark, and we do not hold back any part of the output on the free tier.

Prices and payment

If you need a longer file, the one-time prices are:

  • $1.00 for a file up to 30 minutes long;
  • $1.99 for a file longer than 30 minutes and up to 60 minutes.

You pay per file, or by monthly subscription if you take the Pro plan. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, and we never receive or store your card details. If a task fails and produces no usable output, we do not charge you for it; the system does not collect payment for a failed job. What counts as a failed job, and when we refund rather than simply not charge, is set out in the Refund Policy.

No guarantee about results

The service is provided as it is. Noise reduction is not an exact science, and results depend on the recording, the type of noise, and the amount of speech or music in the file. We do not promise that the output will suit a particular purpose or meet a particular standard. Please listen to the result before you rely on it, and keep your original file.

Availability

We work to keep the service up, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features, pause the service for maintenance, or stop offering it. We may also change these terms or the prices, and when we do, we will update this page and change the date below.

Suspension and blocking

We may suspend or block your use of the service if you break these terms, if you abuse the free quota, or if we reasonably believe your use puts the service, other users, or us at risk. Where it is practical, we will tell you why.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the task that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost bookings, or lost work time. Nothing in these terms limits any right that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one on this page, and the date at the bottom shows when it last changed. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law rules.
